The Science and Technology Archive (ACT) is unique in the history of scientific activity in Portugal, with the function of preserving and managing the documentary record of national scientific production, translated into thousands of grant applications, institutions, and research projects. Open to the public since December 16, 2011, it holds a significant documentary collection that includes, in addition to the FCT's own archive from 1997 onwards, the collection of the National Board of Scientific and Technological Research (JNICT), from 1967 to 1997, and other public and private organizations, primarily in the area of science policy and funding in Portugal.
